This Space aims to be informative and transparent, to encourage a reflection about what is going on in Sustainability & Sustainable Fashion today and what can be done to be part of the movement. The journey started with a search on how to become more sustainable in Fashion and the findings were that there are many ways to do so, with some not so widely known.
This is called a ‘journey’ because there is no perfect sustainable solution as of today for the fashion industry (just like in so many other industries) but there are surely better ways than the ones commonly used up to now.
So why very few companies are taking the leap? Or just doing so little? Is it too expensive or too difficult to put into practice? Well… if small businesses with small means can do something, surely big groups with large infrastructures and financial power could do even more…, right?
Hence the goal to start a dialogue and to encourage you - reader - to ask questions, think about how things are currently done and how they could be improved. Again, there are no perfect answers, just a wide range of better options that can be easily implemented at different stages and scales. The only important thing is to pause for a moment, observe and reflect; while keeping a critical mind and avoiding the marketing 'Greenwashing' trend.
