Passionate about materials and craftsmanship, Alice Sachot grew up in Provence from a lineage of seamstresses.
She has been handcrafting and experimenting with materials from very little, and started her journey with clothing when her mother introduced her to hand-sewing and knitting at the age of 7-years-old.
Her strong interest for Arts, refined aesthetics and cultural discovery led her to Japan, where she lived six years, learning the language and diving in the culture.
After years of sewing, and then mastering pattern‑making for both garments and shoes, she decide to launch “La French Cut custom‑made shoes” in 2015, freshly arrived in Hong Kong, from her encounter with Shoes craftsmen.
“Linking past and present, while looking ahead”, Alice creations are Unique, Refined and Timeless. They result from her love of Arts and aesthetics, combined with her sense of details, and her influences from both Provence and Japan.
Her work aims at honouring fabrics, the last meters of rolls, as well as body shapes; she wants opens conversations about ethics, inclusivity and eco‑consciousness in the Fashion Industry.
Through Limited Lines and Custom‑made Services, she dresses women to feel beautiful and confident in their uniqueness; crafting pieces made to last and to be passed on.
